Stone Walling

Buddleia is the enemy of stone walls across South Wales, with their invasive root systems that literally blow the mortar out of the wall causing it to list and ultimately collapse.

The above works were carrried out at Cardiff and Vale College and involved the rebuilding of over 180sqm’s of stone wall. The picture on the right is at the rear of 32 Burlington Terrace and comprised 9sqm’s including the partition wall seen through the doorway. As you can see, it really is a case of no job too big or too small!

We can use either the existing stone or new; it can be pointed up in black mortar as per the original or in the natural finish. Pointing wise you can choose from a weather, snail or brush finish.
