Practical and beautiful

This was a project with a bit of a difference… we were asked to create a garden that was not only beautiful and could be enjoyed by our clients,  but it needed to be practical and accessible for a wheelchair user.

Due to deteriorating health, our client was now using a wheelchair which required a change in design to their garden to allow her to continue enjoying the outdoor space. This meant the use of paving and wide pathways was important.

Practicality shouldn’t mean missing out beautiful features. We added a central water feature, a pergola and raised flower beds so that they could be easily reached and allow our client to continue to do the gardening she loves.
